Project29 Foundation is bridging the mathematics gap for senior secondary students across Niger State — one after-school session at a time.
Project29 Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to improving mathematics proficiency among public school students. We believe every child — regardless of background — deserves access to quality math education.
Our flagship program, the AfterSchool Math Club, runs each term for three months across three centers in Niger State. Through weekly sessions, interactive learning, individual support, and regular assessments, we turn math anxiety into math mastery.
Public school students in Niger State face compounding barriers to mathematics success. Without intervention, these gaps grow wider.
Many senior secondary students consistently score below passing marks in mathematics, threatening WAEC outcomes and academic futures.
Widespread fear and disinterest in mathematics leads students to disengage, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of underperformance.
Underfunded schools lack qualified math teachers, materials, and the individual attention students need to grasp concepts.
Without after-school options, students from low-income families have nowhere to turn when they struggle outside the classroom.
Math failures close doors to STEM careers, university admissions, and economic mobility.
Rural communities in Niger State are often overlooked by government interventions, leaving students without targeted support.
“At Madalla Senior Secondary School, 44 consistent participants showed measurable test score improvements — and a visible, lasting change in their confidence and attitude towards mathematics.”
Every session, every breakthrough, every student who discovers they can do math — captured here.
